I don't know why I didn't jump on the bandwagon of knit sets earlier because it's one of the best things I've ever worn. It's quite chic and super comfortable. You can do things like straddle, squat, dance, kung-fu kick, and any other random body movement without restrictions.
Ever since Phoebe Philo released her knit sets for Céline for FW14, the rest of the industry slowly followed suit and eventually the chic version of sweat suits started to appear everywhere. Yet, I completely overlooked them for the past couple of years.
This one from Genuine People is perfect. The pattern and placement of the knit top is so flattering to the body and visually sucks everything in. It cuts, hugs, and streamlines up and down the right parts of the body, in turn, creating longer lines and making me look leaner and 5 inches taller… Which is a major plus for a petite 5'4" alien like me. The fabric is mainly viscose, so it's smooth against the skin and not scratchy like certain types of wools. Although it would be a dream to have a cashmere set aka the perfect comfortable and chic travel outfit, that'll have to wait due to contingencies like... one too many tipsy uber drives.
So if you haven't jumped aboard the knit set ship, I highly suggest you do. Your life will improve ten fold! Well, maybe just the day you decide to wear them.
