Comfort or contentment is something we all strive for in life, right? But should it really be something to pursue? To be comfortable-- sure, it's easy, but it's stagnant, so there's no growth. And to be content, you're happy-ish? But why not go for the gold and go after what you really want, whether it's having a trailer in the tranquil woods or being a glamazon superstar? The meaning of success and happiness is subjective, but in my opinion life is too short to be just "content."

Me personally, I want to be more than just content; I want to be on top of the world, to help shape our home into a better place for all of us to live, in inclusivity, free from discrimination of any form... and so much more. Despite knowing the risks of the emotional and mental roller coaster the path holds. I can't bear the thought of living a routine life, doing the same thing every day, week, and year for the rest of my life and always wondering "what if?" What's the point of living if you're just going to live like a robot, doing mundane tasks that you don't really care for every day?

I recently left a nest of comfort and stability without any prospects, with hopes of getting freelance work or getting picked up elsewhere. It was a bit scary to be honest, and to most, not the most practical decision. But then again, I'm not the most conventional person. After two years, It was time to take the next step in my plan to help change the world (positively).

As amazing as the team I worked with is, I noticed a plateau in my personal and career growth. So I thought about what I needed to do to kickstart my engine again, and decided to leave. I needed the pressure of having nothing to kick my ass and really get myself out there, to learn more, to meet and connect with other people.

I've spread my wings to see what else the world has in store for me, and for the first time I have no idea what I'm doing or where I'm going, but the anticipation of discovering what might ensue is exciting. There's still a long flight ahead and so much to be done, but wish me luck, and best of luck to you all too.

PS. I know that not everyone has the opportunity to think about such things due to situations life has thrown at them but there will come a time where you will be able to realize and live out your dream. We will all have an opportunity to take flight, but only if you choose to.
