In this post, named after one of my favorite Pokémon, the sleeves on this flawless Claudia Li (emerging designer you need to know) top are letting me live the dream of real-life Pokémon existing! Well, almost. (Something all the Pokémon Go addicts would appreciate.) The structured and ruffled cuffs remind me of a beautiful, futuristic rose and make me wanna sway to Daft Punk or Depeche Mode while I cast my "petal dance" attack to get closer to becoming a Pokemon master, a.k.a. achieving world domination.
Her pieces are truly amazing and her creations are refreshing amongst the mundane and redundant NYFW scene. I remember pondering going to her FW16 presentation but in the end I decided to go, and oh my goodness, her work slayed my fashion heart. I am so glad I went-- her structured and dramatic pieces are such works of art that it was a standout for the New York fashion scene and really set the bar high for the rest of fashion month for me. I so look forward to seeing how her work develops and seeing what other dreams she brings to fruition. Now if only I could own (afford) all her pieces, then this world would be mine.
Catch me if you can.
